On the journey to the Tara River, we will pass Boka Bay and take a break near Lipci to enjoy the view of wonderful Boka.You will also enjoy a picturesque view of Piva Lake and the dramatic Piva Canyon, with 56 hand-made tunnels over a distance of 30 kilometers. Rafting will last 4 hours. Let's catch the waves. After the exciting rafting, we will have lunch, and so full of experience we will return. We take a break at the viewpoint from which you have a view of the Salt Lake.
An unforgettable experience that combines rafting on Tara, natural landscapes, and local food. Our professional rafting guides will ensure that you enjoy a safe and exciting adventure. We pass through the Bay of Boka, and as we ascend above the Risan Bay, we will have the opportunity to see all of Boka. So we will stop to take photos. We soon pass by Salt Lake, which is located near Nikšić, the second-largest city in Montenegro. After an hour's drive, we reach a stunning view of Piva lake near the town of Pluzine.Piva lake is 45 kilometers long and almost 200 meters deep! This is the largest artificial lake in the Balkans.We will quickly climb the 220-meter-high dam - where you can see the wide and deep turquoise water on one side - the narrow strip of river flow on the other.We continue through the canyon of the Piva River, one of the most dramatic and breathtaking roads. During a distance of about 30 kilometers, we will pass through 56 hand-made tunnels. What will catch your eye are the black pines. Some are over 450 years old and can grow up to 30 meters.A traditional Montenegrin homemade breakfast is served in a restaurant by the river bank (the river is the natural border between the two countries).We will then board the minivans to head to our rafting starting point. Let the adventure begin.
The Tara River is one of the natural wonders of Montenegro. It is known as the "Tear of Europe" because of its clean drinking water.Tara is the deepest canyon in Europe and the second deepest in the WORLD (right after the Grand Canyon of Colorado!)There are numerous waterfalls that descend from the surrounding cliffs - Skakavica is the most famous.The part of the canyon through which we will descend is 18 km long - with 21 rapids.Professional skippers will take care of you.All those who are adventure hunters, can jump from the rock into the water and pass under the waterfall. After that, we return to the camp where we change into dry clothes and enjoy a traditional Montenegrin lunch. So full and satisfied we return to the full experience.
